"We are particularly pleased about the balanced interest that led girls and boys alike into the multi-layered and exciting ceramics industry," says plant manager Heike Koltes.
The first day was all about getting to know each other. Plant manager Heike Koltes and the respective trainers provided a lot of information about Deutsche Steinzeug, the training process and future activities. The highlight of the day was of course the tour of the impressive Buchtal plant in Schwarzenfeld. Alexandra Wudi has already done her student internship here and is being trained as a draftswoman in the architectural service. Extraordinary architectural and swimming pool projects around the globe await her, because internationally renowned architectural offices rely on the ceramic tiles of DSCB's Agrob Buchtal, Jasba and Drytile brands. "It is impressive how big everything is here," she says and is pleased: "The people here are all super nice and there is an open and familiar atmosphere.
Jonas Demleitner also thinks so. He is taking the path to become an industrial clerk at DSCB. "It's really exciting to be able to do your training in an international company," he says. Deutsche Steinzeug wants to make things easy for its apprentices and, in addition to many other attractive training opportunities, offers an IHK course in Business English.
