The UN Global Compact is a central element of our understanding of sustainability. Launched by the United Nations, the initiative promotes sustainable and responsible business practices worldwide. As an internationally active company and part of the global economy and society, we participate in the initiative. Based on the 10 universal principles and the Sustainable Development Goals, we have committed ourselves to documenting the achievement of our sustainable development goals in an annual report, the COP Communication on Progress, and thus making the progress of our sustainable actions transparent to external stakeholders.

Sustainable management is an ongoing process that we have been pursuing from day one of our company's history. Resolute measures are taken both at the direct production sites and in the upstream and downstream value chains. In many individual steps, we are using our innovative strength to move ever closer to the climate targets we have set ourselves. This includes consistently efficient energy management as well as research into new formulations and, where possible, a conscious reduction in the use of materials in the products in our portfolio.
