Our responsibility

We. Ecologically, economically, socially.

Dieter Schäfer, CEO of Deutsche Steinzeug Cremer & Breuer AG

Leaving a better world for future generations is probably the greatest challenge of our time. It is about the environment and climate protection, social responsibility and the way we operate as a company. New ideas are needed, but also determination, integrity and courage to drive the necessary changes forward.

As an international manufacturer of a product with centuries of cultural history, we at Deutsche Steinzeug Cremer & Breuer AG agree that the future of architecture and construction does not end at the gates of our tile factories, but begins with our responsibility. Fair dealings with partners and respectful cooperation have therefore been the driving force behind the special quality and innovative strength of our company, and not just since today.

As a sustainable and responsible ceramic manufacturer and player in the construction industry, we as people and companies want to make a contribution to a world that offers a sustainable future with a better quality of life for all. That is why we do everything we can to consistently align our manufacturing processes and products with economic efficiency and sustainability aspects. In fast-moving times, we do this on the basis of a firmly anchored corporate culture based on integrity.

UN Global Compact

We. Initiative.

Ziele für Nachhaltige Entwicklung

We have been an "Active Level Member" of the UN Global Compact Initiative for a better global future for several years now.

The UN Global Compact is a central element of our understanding of sustainability. Launched by the United Nations, the initiative promotes sustainable and responsible business practices worldwide. As an internationally active company and part of the global economy and society, we participate in the initiative. Based on the 10 universal principles and the Sustainable Development Goals, we have committed ourselves to documenting the achievement of our sustainable development goals in an annual report, the COP Communication on Progress, and thus making the progress of our sustainable actions transparent to external stakeholders.

Made in Germany

We. Worldwide.

With four domestic plants, the Deutsche Steinzeug Group stands for tile design, engineering expertise and product quality "Made in Germany". Dealers, partners and suppliers know us as a globally active ceramic family that meets the challenges of our time with a strong "we" that extends from the domestic production sites to our own sales network in France, Switzerland and the USA - and also includes the global network of local partners.

For customers and suppliers, Deutsche Steinzeug is a reliable partner that stands for adherence to delivery dates and delivery reliability. With our core brand Agrob Buchtal, we are internationally recognized by architects and planners as the specialist for ceramic tiles, whose broad portfolio includes the right design and technical solutions for all areas of application. This is proven by projects on every continent: from facades to modern interiors.

We. On the way.

Sustainable management is an ongoing process that we have been pursuing from day one of our company's history. Resolute measures are taken both at the direct production sites and in the upstream and downstream value chains. In many individual steps, we are using our innovative strength to move ever closer to the climate targets we have set ourselves. This includes consistently efficient energy management as well as research into new formulations and, where possible, a conscious reduction in the use of materials in the products in our portfolio.
